I feel I’m running on fumes with this Patreon “passion project” rushing to finalize the page requirements, have it reviewed and then go live.
“The Tau of Steves: What You Don’t Know Could Fill a Book”
Hi and welcome to Sunday’s Episode 140 in the first season of “My 1-Year Natural Experiment” on this 22nd day of December in winter of 2019.
“5” Steve Zahn, 51: “Decide how long you want to devote yourself to a project. If you want it done quickly, go alone. If you want to make this into a regular part of your world, go with someone who’s down for the journey.” Scorpio
Evidence
It’s the Sunday before Christmas Eve and Day. One of the requirements if you include goals is to pinpoint them:
-
-
- Cover an unexpected expense of $400 in an emergency which Neal Gabler wrote eludes the vast majority of us Creatives and
- Cover costs of doing business; $428.05 month / $5136.60.
-
Meanwhile I’m roughing out a series of emails aimed at building master the chain reaction of awareness, interest, liking, desire, trial, repurchase and regular use.
I’m at least 30 to 45 days behind, but will begin with “Happy New Year“ to everyone as the 1st message.
Second is “How have you been, what’s going on in your life?”
Third is in response to what they say, with Patreon completely finished and
-
-
-
-
- How it works,
- Thinking about tiers — what’s your advice and feedback?

-
Fourth invites them to my Facebook.
On with the Holiday Season and our — Zahn’s, Winkler’s, Emma the Baroness and my Holiday Tau. Is it too gimmicky, this project? I have mixed feelings and should heed our advice.
“5” Steve Zahn, 51: “Decide how long you want to devote yourself to a project. If you want it done quickly, go alone. If you want to make this into a regular part of your world, go with someone who’s down for the journey.” Scorpio
Random ones that make me want change my sign.
Actually I’m so self-absorbed in this project, that I need to notice Emma the Baroness rather than key on how much attention I’m receiving.
“2” Steve McQueen (1930 – 1980): “Noticing is a form of love. Not noticing is more antithetical to love than hate is. Just as love can bond and heal, neglect can cut and wound. Today you’ll notice the quality of attention people give you.” Aries
My life is joyful in spades and this project should be providing more and more joy than anxiety as we near the end of the holiday season and kick off a wondrous 2020!!
“5” Steve Winwood, 71; Stevie Wonder, 69: “Doing things on your own is one of the great joys in life. Discovery is a particularly satisfying subset of the category. To find something that wasn’t in the guidebook can be wondrous.” Taurus
Power naps are good. What would Leo da V do? If he says it’s ok then count me in.
“5” Steve Carell, 57; Steve Martin, 74; Steve Wozniak, 69: “After a few weeks of commanding your days, it’s very relaxing to let the day do what it wants. This is your chance! And if it all culminates into a long nap, more power to you!” Leo
As you know, Steve I always sing the praises of your TauBits of Wisdom. Most of the time they don’t sync up with what I’m doing. However, I see the beauty in today’s and will keep it. Thanks
“5” Steve Aoki, 41: “Looking back, you won’t know how you did it. Looking forward produces a similarly baffling sensation. But it will get done. Action is much more effective than the memory of projection.” Sagittarius
You know, Steve this is touching on how both of us, the Baroness and I, view the world.
“5” Steve Harvey, 62: “You don’t show all you have — you don’t even hint at it! That’s for the new people who don’t know better, or the insecure, or the ones who are fearful they don’t have enough. You play it cool, keeping your assets to yourself.” Capricorn
It is odd when that happens. Like the time a former employee in one of my outplacement seminars matter of factually told me something I told the group changed his life. He was on his way out of a brief alumni networking meeting when he turned to say good bye and told me he just wanted to thank me.
“5” Steve Nash, 45: “It’s odd the things that pop into your head — a short interaction with a stranger or a conversation you had a decade ago. Why is this relevant now? Maybe it’s not. Take a breath. Find a focus worthy of you.” Aquarius
Sign me up. Playfulness feels carefree enough to inject into this weeks Christmas family reunion.
“5” Steve Jobs, (1955 – 2011): “It is said that the finest inventions are nurtured in hardship. Maybe so, but a lot of great ideas have other roots, for instance in the playfulness of a carefree moment. Your creativity will come without suffering.” Pisces
