Can you tell I’m “Still Stuck on Tuesday”? I can’t find my way out of the chicken and egg dilemma. How can you add the link to my email signature profile if my Patreon page itself isn’t completed?
“The Tau of Steves: What You Don’t Know Could Fill a Book”
Hi and welcome to Saturday’s Episode 131 in the first season of “My 1-Year Natural Experiment” on this 7th day of December in winter of 2019
“5” Steve Aoki, 41: “Happiness is preparing for a long-term goal while meeting your of-the-moment needs like beauty, mental stimulation, kinship and excitement.” Sagittarius
Evidence
What’s got me stuck are two things. 1) I need to describe why I’m on Patreon’s crowdfunding platform, and 2) Three support levels to which my followers will gladly contribute.
Here’s actually what rattled around in my brain:
-
- I can’t decide if The Tau is too narrow or if it’s the specifics that will draw supporters. Is Center for Knowledge Creation and Innovation too broad and won’t attract anyone? Or, the book series?
- Then, I’m the most truthful and authentic beginning with blogging.
- Which, remember originally, I felt was why I should try Patreon.
- I’m leaning towards describing support and reward levels as a way to describe the rest in a progression to the Center for Knowledge Creation and Innovation.
- From free to premium as the streaming article on selling is love said.
- Hold back on the Tao to LinkedIn, just recontact with Patreon in my signature line.
- Hoping they ask.
- Invite everyone into my Facebook page.
- Participate in the Association of Steves. Slowly peel away the onion there.
The hour glass of time ran out, because Christmas shopping at the Norwegian Seaman’s Church on 7th Avenue in Long Beach with Emma the Baroness took precedence over my brain farts.
We timed it so we could stop off at the Global Deli on Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa, where she and I spent our romantic breaks from work when we couldn’t keep our eyes and hands off each other.
She called ahead.
We picked up the generous roast beef on rye with pickle and water bottles and drove to Newport Boulevard, hung a left on Pacific Coast Highway and slowly meandered our way to Bayshore Drive and up Fernleaf to the right to find the picnic spot of our love life in Corona del Mar overlooking the mouth of the harbor and the Pacific Ocean.
Emma the Baroness couldn’t resist — Or I should say I couldn’t resist her then and now —
“Since we’re already here” to stop for her quick shopping trip to buy Christmas bracelet gift at a cute store she knew.
We couldn’t stay too long or else the frozen Norwegian food would thaw before we made the 30 minute drive home. Phew.
This being a Saturday and Zahn, Emma the Baroness and I share the same sign I lit a fire in our fireplace, sipped a hot coffee drink to start the evening and reflected only for a moment on our Holiday Tau. Boy, could I use the reminder to cut the self-criticism and second guessing out.
“5” Steve Zahn, 51: “If something is a big deal to you, you shouldn’t have to justify your feelings to anyone, least of all yourself. Refraining from self-criticism would help mightily.” Scorpio
Random ones that make me want change my sign.
If this past week is any indicator, I’m in deep doodoo as Christmas events over take us. My fuel gauge is sitting nervously just above empty.
“5” Steve McQueen (1930 – 1980): “As you spur yourself on to great achievements, check your current resources. What does your emotional and spiritual fuel gauge say?” Aries
Well okay, thank you CM&W. Your Holiday Tau is just what I need to define levels of support — my Patreon tiers of giving.
“5” Steve Carell, 57; Steve Martin, 74; Steve Wozniak, 69: “Think in terms of functionality. Sort out what’s working from what isn’t, and prioritize your weekend according to the new order.” Leo
Again, thank you Steve. My tank may be just a bit too low for me to meet my moments and pursue my long-term goals. But, then this is Saturday night, eh?
