Day 47 of My 1-Year Experiment

The Tau of Steves: What You Don’t Know Could Fill a Book

Summer

June 2019

“5”  Steve Harvey, 62: “Think of all of life as an experiment.  If this person’s not right, try that person.  Don’t take the outcome personally.” Capricorn

Hitting my stride on LinkedIn I shared two of my blog posts, one from Western Skies and Island Currents, “Sweet Anticipation. Getting There is Half the Fun, Right?!” and one from Know Laboratories, “Is It Time to Inhale the Future and Exhale the Past? Just Ask Walmart.” (1 week 436 Views ) So, I figured I’d be eligible for a pithy Holiday Tau.  No such luck on today on June 6th.

Researcher’s Note:  In the raw data “10” appeared between the Howey and CM&W Holiday Tau.  With around eight months remaining to capture data, I counted how many TauBits from Steves filled a page for final results and comparisons.

Random ones that make me want change my sign.

Back to living in the shadows, I guess.  This Holiday Tau is worth doing time behind bars.  Why? Cause this project, if truth be known sprung out of someone, maybe Joseph Chilton Pearce, who said you can live your life as an art form or a natural experiment.

Yeah, this is important.  But, I’ve been working on it so it’s not up there with Harvey’s Holiday Tau.

“3”  Steve McQueen (1930 – 1980):There is no way to improve except by giving the important task your full attention.  But remember to take a break when you need one.” Aries

From two months ago: “What’s the most important thing you’ve learned?” she asked.

“Take showers,” he said.  “Huh?” was her reply not quite sure if he was making fun of her or not.  He then explained the major breakthrough he and his team of co-conspirators couldn’t quite find was driving him nuts and keeping him at his incubator on many late nights.

But, his phone rang.  It was his wife reminding him in that scolding way that only the loves of our life can that he was late for their date.  While showering to freshen up, something clicked in his unconsciousness or something he said and it was like the solution fell out as soon as the water hit his face.  So shower more ofter.

“4”  Steve Howey, 42:Give yourself a break; you’re solving a problem even if you’re not aware that you are.  This takes time.” Cancer

A friend reached out to me, knowing Emma the Baroness and I toured Italy, wanting some suggestions.  I pulled up our planning spreadsheet with itinerary dates, arrivals and departures, specific notes, hotel reservations, costs and cancellation reminders.  It took us from Venice to Florence to Cinque Terre to Tuscany and on to Rome.  In my default mode, I forwarded to her so she could compare.

“4”  Steve Winwood, 71; Stevie Wonder, 69; Stephen Colbert, 56: “You enjoy helping people fix what’s wrong.  However, this shouldn’t be your default mode.” Taurus

Thank you Carell, Martin and Wozniak, but you can keep your Holiday Tau today.  I’m just not feeling it.

“2”  Steve Carell, 57; Steve Martin, 74; Steve Wozniak, 69: “It’s as though life has an agenda and doesn’t feel like accommodating yours.  Accept fate but not other people’s drama.” Leo
