S1 E164 — Picking up Followers While Cascading Down the Face of the Falls

Think of the central one as being the top of Yosemite Falls and the act of flipping it into “High Country Eagles” as cascading down the face of the falls.

The Tau of Steves: What You Don’t Know Could Fill a Book

“5”  Steve Carell, 57; Steve Martin, 74; Steve Wozniak, 69: You’re starting to see how your life would be different if you changed a certain set of daily behaviors.  This block will change together because each action is a cue that triggers the next action.” Leo

Hi and welcome to Sunday’s Episode 164 in the first season of “My 1-Year Natural Experiment” on this 2nd day of February in winter of 2020.

Context

So, I’m cascading Flipboard stories which involves adding an article to one central digital magazine and then flipping it into a more defined magazine which is a subset of the central magazine.

One story can start in “Best West Road Trips” and while staying there also be flipped into a region, like South Coast Region and then flipped again into Orange County Beach Towns and finally into Laguna Beach for its final “resting place”.

Flipboard alerted me to a jump in total followers of my digital magazines, from 1099 last Sunday to 1149 today.

It looks like cascading triggers a trend of when a new Flipboard person picks a region and then one or more counties and specific towns at once.

Maybe 2 or 3 at a time.  For instance:

“Kate is now following your magazine  ‘San Francisco Region’,  ‘Santa Barbara County’, and ‘North Bay Region’ 58 minutes (ago).”

“Raven Wulf signed up for  ‘Humboldt County’, ‘Mendocino Coast’, ‘North Bay Region’ and ‘California Coast: Tip to Tip’ 9 hours (ago).”

So my flipping strategy pays off.

Going forward, I’m wondering if there’s a template of topics I can fill in over the course of a week and publish on Friday?

And, then pick the top 5 from each week for the monthly thrown in with my long-form progress, bonus offers, etc?

Evidence

Let’s try out the Tau, shouldn’t we?  First up, the Holiday Tau for Zahn, Winkler, Emma the Baroness and me.

“5”  Steve Zahn, 51: “You’re purchasing life with life, trading effort for result.  You need evidence (preferably sensory evidence) that you’re headed in the right direction.  Ask for it!  Get a “receipt” you can feel.” Scorpio

Random ones that make me want change my sign.

Do any of the TauBits of Wisdom for the remaining Steves compete with Zahn’s today?

Ooh.  Maybe, because this is my approach and has been in my professional career as well.

“5” Steve Smith, 30: If you’re wondering why people tell you their problems, it’s because you look them right in the eyes and make them feel seen, like they belong and like there’s hope where they’re headed.” Gemini

Uh-Oh.  The Holiday Tau for two comedians and a company founder compete as well.  Kind of like in a house of mirrors with my added template.  Wow either this is a bountiful day or the task may be harder than it seems.

“5”  Steve Carell, 57; Steve Martin, 74; Steve Wozniak, 69: You’re starting to see how your life would be different if you changed a certain set of daily behaviors.  This block will change together because each action is a cue that triggers the next action.” Leo

Sorry G&G in the grand scheme of the Tau, not everybody’s contribution can be a five.

“3”  Steve Greene, 34; Steve Guttenberg, 61:Amusement lives outside of expectation.  Where the outcome is predicted, there is no delight.  So you’ll include a surprise — nothing big, and the size isn’t the point.  The point is that they don’t know it’s coming.” Virgo

So, this way harder than I figured.  For me, and maybe for you too, Coach Kerr’s TauBit of Wisdom deserves a five.

“5”  Steve Kerr, 54:The to-do list is long.  Choose fun ones to cross off first.  Activities must be very satisfying for you or you’re not going to do them with any kind of regularity, if you do them at all.” Libra

On a different day, Steve, your Holiday Tau might have topped the list.  But, it can’t compete today.  Sorry.

“4”  Steve Aoki, 41: Once things get rolling, you’ll have no problem keeping up with them.  So don’t worry your pretty head about the future.  Just start building something to put on the wheels.” Sagittarius

Gut Bomb!  Intuition rocks.  Just not as much as the other Steves — Kerr, Carell,  Martin and Wozniak, Smith or Zahn.

“4”  Steve Nash, 45:Whether you run this day via a system of logic or you run it with the intuition of your gut, you’ll end up in the same place.  Though you’ll get there much faster with intuition.  Aquarius
